All our qualified floor layers have achieved or been trained in the following areas:

  • City and Guilds NVQ level 2 in Floor Coverings and hold CSCS cards.
  • Trained in asbestos awareness and non-licenced removal.
  • Receive first aid and manual handling training.
  • Undertake regular health and safety courses as well as refresher courses in asbestos awareness and Toolbox Talks run by the CITB.
  • All managers have achieved SMSTS qualification.

We take on an apprentice from the local community every year.  Many remaining with the company for many years after they have completed their training.  

All tradesmen have undertaken CRB certification and carry out work for the local police authority. 

Our experienced Contracts Manager/Director, Ben Atkins and Contract Manager, Les Portlock give their advice and knowledge on all aspects of flooring,  wall tiling and general building works.  Both Managers have achieved SMSTS qualification.

We give a high importance to training and development with a majority of our floor layers staying with us since the company throughout their working career.  We pride ourselves on the professional service our staff offer and the competitive quotes we provide for all types of materials and fitting.

The company takes on apprentices on a regular basis and are committed to training these individuals with continued professional development.
